Diana Arias-Rodriguez Tumor Operation Site
This site was established for Diana Arias-Rodriguez, a TK year medical student in San Francisco de Macoris.
About a year ago, Diana was undergoing treatment for a brain tumor which was successfully removed. Her family's prayers were answered and she was able to walk, speak and interact with her friends again. Today, a year later, the cancer is back and the doctor's are hesistant to operate her fearing that the operation would leave her blind. Though she comes from a poor family, both Diana and her brother a medical students who had to pause their career goals because of her sickness. They are in dire need of help and don't ask anyone for financial assistance. Their mother moved to The Bronx last Winter solely to work and returned to the Dominican Republic when she learned the cancer had returned. With this site, I hope to inspire you to donate whatever you can, whether it's $10, $25 $50 or more for the family's medical and travel expenses. |
